I'm drawn to color, curiosity, texture, and the little things in everyday life that are easy to overlook.
I create abstract and figurative mixed-media paintings using layered materials, found objects, texture, and bold color. I enjoy letting a piece develop naturally, following marks, shapes, and colors to see where they take me.
My sketchbook is where I give myself permission to experiment. It's a place to play with ideas without worrying about whether something needs to become a finished piece. Some ideas stay on the page. Others eventually find their way into my paintings.
When I'm away from the studio, I often take my camera with me. I photograph quiet moments, familiar places, overlooked objects, and whatever catches my attention. Photography gives me another way to slow down and really look at the world around me.
Through painting, sketching, and photography, I'm learning to stay curious and pay attention—to the colors, textures, shapes, and ordinary moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
That's what I'm exploring through my work: color, observation, curiosity, and the unexpected beauty of everyday life.
I'm interested in a lot of things, and I don't always see a reason to keep them in separate boxes. Art, photography, music, games, collecting strange ideas, and whatever else catches my attention all feed into the same curiosity.
