Sketchbook 3 2025-2026

I’m stoked to finally finish my third mini sketchbook — this one felt like it took longer, probably because I took a little break to focus on other things. I didn’t pick up many new techniques in this volume; it was mostly more practice and refining what I already know. One practical lesson did stick: watercolor straight from the tube is too thick and sticky for these sketchbook pages — it didn’t dry properly and left the sheets tacky, so I had to go back over areas with acrylics. Other than that, it was steady practice and gradual improvement. I’ll continue the mini sketchbook series with one more, though I don’t plan to keep doing them indefinitely since I prefer working on larger surfaces; still, you never know what the future holds. If you’d like to see the whole sketchbook it’s available on my website under the sketchbook tab to view from cover to cover. Hope you enjoy this new sketchbook, and I’ll see you down the road.
